everyday transformations
Everyday Transformations: Becoming a Force for Good in the World and Your World. Program on the inextricable link between personal development, community, culture and social transformation. Ethics without a paired politics is largely meaningless. Similarly, calls for social change without activating one's personal accountability and agency are largely fruitless. Beyond the cliché, we are examining the principles and practices that will aid us in 'becoming the change' we desire to see in the world.
YOU ARE YOUR BEST THING
You Are Your Best Thing. Program on personal development, self-awareness, confidence, health, healing, well-being and emotional intelligence. Highlighting practices to develop greater authenticity and courage. Addressing key tools to step into your power in unfamiliar and intimidating spaces.
ARTS WORKSHOPS
Programs on the Arts specifically tailored to the needs of the students. Primary themes include storytelling, script writing, directing and producing for beginners, Art as advocacy, Black Arts Movement, Black Theater Movement.
SISTER CIRCLE
Programs curated for women, often specifically for Black women and girls / Black women students as a heart-centered space to examine our conceptions of womanhood, sisterhood, vulnerability, femininity, feminism(s) / womanism, cultural expectations and self-perception.
